“That’s a big part of it,” she said. “I treat everyone like a VIP whether they are in the $100,000 range or the $2 million range. No matter what amount of money we’re talking about, it’s still an enormous amount of money to them. Its an important decision; some people are spending their life savings. The level of respect and attention I give them does not change.”

For Calarco, the effort is just part of the equation, and the answer is always the same: happy clients, happy agent. “There’s a difference between loving what you’re doing and just being in it for a paycheck,” she said. “I hope that always comes across to my clients.”
