If we began with each of the clients together, they would know us both, they would be comfortable with each of us, and we would be seamlessly interchangeable.”

Ellen and Susan’s years of experience, knowledge of the market, numerous accolades, and track record of getting buyers and sellers their desired results, have helped them develop a loyal network of repeat and referral clients. “We have sold houses to people we worked with 25 years ago, and there’s nothing more flattering than a client coming back to us because they had a great experience. We want to be their REALTORS® for life. When somebody says, ‘my mother recommended you’ or ‘my cousin said you were terrific’, those kinds of referrals really make us smile and have supported us for 35 years, even during the pandemic.”

The team believes their strong connection has been the foundation for their success. “I think we have very complementary personalities that allow us to keep the transaction seamless. It’s like a marriage after a certain period of time. You start to finish the other person’s sentences. We also have a natural division of labor and focus on the things each of us does best.”

Ellen and Susan complete anywhere between $25,000,000 to $30,000,000 in sales volume a year. “We’ve consistently been recognized as a top team and the accolades are really nice, but what’s better is knowing that a steady stream of people want us to participate in their most important purchase. Real estate is a very personal business, it’s like matchmaking. There is no better feeling than when you walk into a house with a client and realize that it is ‘their’ house.”

Going forward the dream team plans to continue working hard to help clients achieve their real estate goals. “There is a lot of pleasure and satisfaction in helping people, and we plan to do that for as long as clients continue to come to us. The pandemic has been a difficult year for many people, but we have confidence in what we do, and we will continue to make it work for our clients. I think that’s the great thing about real estate, every day is different and as soon as you think you have it all under control, it’s like the world gets thrown upside down and you have to learn and continue to grow.”
