Top real estate agent in South Carolina Matthew Beresh-Bryant is committed to carrying on the business his grandmother, JoAnn Beresh built during her 33 year career. He got started in real estate working with his grandmother while he was in college and he went on to partner with her after graduation. The pair worked as a high-volume team for eight years until Matthew’s grandmother experienced significant health issues requiring him to take over running the business on his own earlier this year. While this year has been challenging, Matthew is working to make his grandmother proud and contribute his own success story to the Beresh real estate legacy.
The Upstate South Carolina region that Matthew serves includes the communities of Clemson, Seneca and Greenville. This market has experienced consistent growth over the past decade with strong employers such as BMW, Boeing and iCar attracting many people to relocate to the area. Greenville was recently named one of the fastest growing cities in the country. While the market has seen a downturn in the last year with rising interest rates, Matthew and his grandmother completed more than 50 property transactions in 2021 with sales volume in excess of $10 million.
Matthew attributes the team’s success to a genuine interest in helping people to find the right home. Through honesty and relationship building, they’ve attained a strong reputation that keeps clients coming back. Matthew says he loves meeting new people, loves fighting for the people he works for to make sure they get what they want, need and can afford, and loves being at the closing where all the hard work pays off. He believes in what he does and has a sincere love for his community. Matthew is a booster for all that Upstate South Carolina has to offer.
Over the years, Matthew and his grandmother have been involved in a number of community events and organizations. They’ve sponsored golf tournaments and band competitions, supported Special Olympics, served on various community boards and volunteered with local charity Country Santa, helping to collect and distribute gifts to families in need. These days, Matthew stays busy with running the business solo but in his free time he loves to take his wife and daughter to their favorite family fun spot at Disney World. Matthew also continues to enjoy fishing, something he learned from his grandfather who passed away last year.
Matthew plans to grow the business his grandmother built and would like to eventually put together a team. For now, though, he’s most focused on delivering the quality service and results that people have come to associate with his family name. While his grandmother has left him with big shoes to fill, Matthew is inspired to honor her success and make the most of everything she taught him so that the Beresh name continues to stand for excellence in real estate.
