Honest and knowledgeable, Dorota Kundera’s dedication to providing premier service to her clients has built her a reputation as one of the top residential real estate experts in her community. Like many agents, Dorota didn’t start off working in real estate. While living in her native Poland, she went to graduate school to get her Masters degree in Business Management, and then immigrated to the US to take a job at a company that specialized in converting cars for the handicapped. When their local office closed, the company asked her to move to Indiana. Unwilling to make the move, Dorota took a job as an office manager for Crawford, Tucker & Giordano, a successful residential real estate team. Although she didn’t know much about real estate, she had to get her license for the job, and quickly discovered a passion for the industry.

Twenty-one years and hundreds of transactions later, Dorota is now one of the top producing agents at Keller Williams Metropolitan. Operating out of her office in Morristown, New Jersey, Dorota runs a thriving book of business throughout Morris County and the surrounding areas, and routinely closes anywhere from 30 to 40 transactions a year. Dorota’s high transaction volume has led her to be recognized by The North Central New Jersey Association of REALTORS as within the gold level circle of excellence for three years in a row.

Dorota credits her honesty and data-driven approach as being the primary drivers of her success. “I really focus on providing the best service I possibly can, and to do that, I need to develop a relationship with my clients based on trust. For me, a big part of that means being direct. I always tell my clients the truth, not what I think they want to hear,” Dorota explains. “In addition, I always backup any advice I’m giving them with data. For example, say my client wants to list a property at a certain price, and I think it’s way too high. I don’t just tell them that, I show them comparable properties so they can see why. My mantra is: I provide advice so they can decide.” Clearly this approach resonates with people, as 80% of Dorota’s business comes from repeat clients or referrals.

When it comes to marketing her listings, Dorota is a big advocate of staging before taking photos so that the home can look its absolute best. Once she has had professional photographs taken, she implements a comprehensive marketing campaign that uses online advertising to get the exposure her clients need and deserve. She will also frequently reach out through her network to other agents in the area who might have interested buyers.

Dorota’s contact with her clients doesn’t end with the close of their transaction, and she uses a combination of phone calls, text messages, emails, and mail outs to stay in touch with her former clients. She will even occasionally stop by her clients’ homes to check in with them in person.

During those infrequent times when Dorota isn’t working, she loves to travel and spend time with her family. With an eye to the future, Dorota is excited to continue growing her team while improving her name recognition within the larger community. Ultimately, Dorota wants to continue growing her business so that she can keep doing what she loves: helping people in her community. “I like to provide great service, and I’m happiest when I get to see the positive impact my work has on my clients lives.”
