Keren first embarked on her real estate journey after she found herself unsatisfied with the level of service she was receiving as a customer herself, and she set out to fill that need. That was six years ago, and Keren has truly found her calling, with a knack for achieving great results and creating a positive client experience.
Keren serves seven counties in New Jersey, including Sussex County, where she lives. She is full of praise for her local area. “We have lakes, woods, fresh air, and tons of outdoor activities,” Keren says. “People are actually nice here! We know our neighbors. Everyone looks out for each other, and if you live in this community, you know you’re not alone. If you ever need help, everybody gets together and helps you. That’s why people want to move here.”
About 60% of Keren’s business comes from repeat and referral clients, which goes to show the strength of the relationships she forms. “I’m very good at communication and follow-up,” Keren explains. “Whether you’re buying a house that’s $50,000 or $1,000,000, you get exactly the same out of me as far as communication, availability, and getting people answers to their questions.” That care and attentiveness continues long after the closing. “For me, even though the transaction ends, the relationship has just begun,” Keren says. “Clients call me if they need a hairdresser, a painter, natural honey from a farm, sheep, or have bunnies they want to give away—these are all things that have happened in the past few years!”
When it comes to marketing her listings, Keren credits her brokerage, Realty Executives, with enabling her to reach a wide audience through Adwerx and TourFactory, as well as boosting listings on the web. That garners Keren’s listings plenty of attention. Keren also recently started a podcast, Koffee With Keren, where she interviews prior clients and service providers to bring valuable information to listeners.
Giving back to her community is of utmost importance to Keren. “I love helping other people, and I do that in many ways, not just in my business, but also in my personal life,” she says. “If we all help each other, since we are all connected, the world will be a much better place.” To that end, Keren is involved not only with her local REALTORS® board as the incoming President, but also with the township, the Chamber of Commerce, YPN, the Rotary Club, and several different community-based organizations. Keren’s referral network, Referral Roundtable, has over 37 professionals as members after starting only 3 ½ years ago. Keren is also on the Vernon High school SCA and Community Outreach, Vernon Coalition to be Drug Free, and the Economic Development and Beautification Committee in Vernon Township.
Looking toward the future, Keren wants to help other agents in her brokerage grow their business. She also has a long-term goal of opening a nonprofit in her mother’s name that will teach women in Sussex County how to become entrepreneurs. For Keren, it all comes back to helping people. “My favorite part of real estate is the connection with people,” she says. “It’s in my nature to help people. When I see people happy in their home, it makes me happy! That’s what I enjoy, and it’s what I love about real estate.”
