Ever since getting his start in the mortgage industry in the late 1990s, Robin Wright has embraced the opportunity to help clients navigate the challenges that come with buying a home. “I love the fact that this business is always evolving,” Robin says. “Every client is unique, and every day is a new opportunity to help somebody.” For the past 20+ years, Robin has done just that, leaving his mark and forming lasting relationships by helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

As a Loan Officer and Branch Manager for a direct lender, Movement Mortgage, Robin operates primarily in Cherokee County, Georgia. He is a licensed originator in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, originating residential mortgages in those states, and he is also the preferred lender in a real estate office, Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage. Robin has a dedicated assistant and a dedicated processor. “As a direct lender, Movement Mortgage handles everything in-house: processing, underwriting, closing, and funding. This gives us great control over the loan process,” Robin explains. Movement Mortgage is a direct Fannie, Freddie, VA, USDA, and FHA lender.

A full 100% of Robin’s business comes from repeat and referral clients, a sure sign that his clients trust him to take care of them and handle the mortgage lending needs of their friends and family. Robin attributes this high level of trust to the kindness and warmth he shows when interacting with clients or potential customers. “I’m a real big-picture guy,” he says. “For example, if I’m working with someone who’s not quite ready, I help formulate a game plan for them and create action steps so that they can reach the finish line, instead of just cutting them loose and moving on to the next client.”

Robin also emphasizes the importance of communication and keeping clients informed. “A lack of communication is one of the biggest complaints people have about our industry, and real estate in general,” Robin explains. In contrast, he says, “I make sure we update every party in every transaction at least once a week, and set the expectations so everyone knows what to expect and when to expect it.”

Robin enjoys the opportunity to give back to his community, and he is currently the President of his local Rotary Club. He is also involved with Ball Ground Business & Community Association, which distributes scholarships to local high school kids. When he is not working, Robin loves spending time with his family.

Looking toward the future, Robin says, “The plan is to keep my nose to the grindstone and continue to grow my business. I really love the mortgage industry, and it’s been great for me and my family. When we do our job right, we can make a very important impact on someone’s life. Being able to see a first-time homebuyer at the closing table getting their keys, and seeing that look of excitement on their face, is what I love about the mortgage business.”
