“We treat our clients as clients for life,” Lisa Lund explains, as she discusses her career in the mortgage industry. People-oriented, outgoing, approachable and determined, she has achieved great success in this business. Watching her father work in the mortgage industry, Lisa knew from early on that this path was meant for her. “I was playing with 10-key calculators and pretending I was doing loans when I was a kid,” she says. At age 16, she began helping her father process mortgages during the summers. Once Lisa graduated high school, she hit the ground running, learning every aspect of the business. Loving every minute of it, Lisa’s career continued to expand, and today top mortgage professional in Arizona Lisa Lund owns and manages The Lund Mortgage Team in Glendale, Arizona.

Lisa is very hands-on with her company, and is in the office every single day with her employees. One of her main focuses is on staying up-to-date with the latest marketing and technology improvements. “I just concentrate on becoming better,” she says. But their service is already top-notch, involving endless guidance and support for the clients. “We want to earn people’s trust, and we really try to be their financial guru, walking them through the process and bringing them that personal touch,” Lisa explains. And they meet clients face-to-face; whether that means inviting them to the office or going to their homes and sitting with them in the kitchen, talking about the loan process and what to expect.

When the transaction is over, clients remember that everyone involved was extremely kind and helpful. One recent testimonial read, “I was very impressed throughout the whole process. There’s always someone here,” Lisa says.

Lisa and her team are also involved in the community. They belong to the Chamber of Commerce, and frequently give back to various charities, including Action for Autism, The ALS Association, and many others. Lisa was past president of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Professionals.

Looking towards the future, Lisa and her team are planning on developing programs for the millennial generation, focusing on technologically-savvy, younger buyers. “Many millennials haven’t even begun buying their first homes, so we want to make sure we’re teaching them about the process and making it all extremely accessible for them.”

It is difficult for Lisa to imagine herself on any other path. She finds great joy in helping others achieve their real estate goals, and is genuinely passionate about this industry.

“What I love most is the satisfaction that comes from knowing we are helping people with what is likely the largest purchase of their life. Putting them in a home for their family or themselves, and being able to truly know that you’re doing the best you can, is probably the most rewarding part about this business.”
