Gary Kalligher’s real estate journey started out early on as a fascination with the industry. “I had always been intrigued by real estate,” Gary recalls. “In my twenties I worked as a laborer for a home builder, so I gained some knowledge about homes and how they were built. Eventually in the early 1990s I became interested in buying properties. Then I became licensed and started helping other people buy and sell homes and investment properties.” The rest is history, and for over 30 years now Gary has been a trusted guide to his clients, helping them make the real estate decisions that are right for themselves and their families.

Gary Kalligher serves the Twin Ports area, encompassing the Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin market on the western edge of Lake Superior. “We’re a port community, and we have a lot of staple industries such as railroad, shipping, mining, and aviation,” Gary says. “We’re also known for all the natural resources we have, especially the water and lakes.

We have great parks and recreation opportunities: fishing, boating, hunting, camping, biking, hiking, and winter sports are all very popular here, and the Grandma’s Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the country.” Gary also highlights some of the area’s local businesses. “The Canal Park area right on the lake has an abundance of great restaurants and craft breweries, including Hoops Brewery and Grandma’s Restaurant.”

Gary has co-hosted a real estate show on local radio since 2008, which provides an opportunity to market some of his properties as well as educating the general public about matters related to the industry. He has also been heavily involved in real estate and property owner advocacy with city government. When he is not working, Gary loves spending time with his family and being involved with all his kids’ activities and sports.
