For the past 25 years, REALTOR® and broker Laura White has built a high-end real estate business in the Seattle area servicing homebuyers and sellers with support and respect throughout their process. She originally got into the real estate industry after feeling like buyers weren’t properly represented after struggling to buy a home in the late ‘90s. Since then, Laura has prioritized her clients’ needs, following the belief that “If you take care of people, it comes back to you.” Since becoming a REALTOR®, she has earned numerous accolades, including winning the Five-Star Real Estate Agent award 13 times and being honored as one of Goldline Research’s “The Ten Most Dependable Real Estate Professionals of the Seattle Area” in 2008.
Working on a team with Windermere Real Estate, Laura provides a hands-on service that begins with listening to what her clients want to achieve. She then serves as a point of contact for any issues that surface during the sale of a home. In addition to calling and texting her clients regularly, Laura likes to reach out throughout the year on birthdays, anniversaries and holidays to let her clients know that she is thinking of them. As a result of her strong communication skills and expertise in the industry, 80-90% of Laura’s business comes from repeat and referral clients.
With most of her business finding her, Laura doesn’t need to do a lot of advertising, but she still takes time to promote listings. Before a sale, she has all of her properties cleaned, staged and photographed. She also uses Matterport 3D Dollhouse technology to allow viewers the opportunity to “walk through” a listing virtually. “Buyers love it because it provides an accurate scale of the size of a home, so you can measure and see if your furniture fits,” explains Laura. “We use Matterport for all of our listings.” Her secretary helps with her social media and SEO practices.
Both through work-sponsored programs and of her own volition, Laura supports various charitable organizations in town. Her brokerage hosts community service days where they volunteer with places like the local zoo and salmon hatchery. A portion of proceeds from all Windermere sales goes directly to the Windermere Foundation. Laura also donates to Plymouth Housing, an organization that helps the homeless by providing safe and supportive places for them to live.
Highly knowledgeable about east Seattle, where she is based, Laura is passionate about sharing her area with clients moving to town. “There’s so much to love about Seattle, with the natural beauty of both Puget Sound and Lake Washington and the gorgeous mountain ranges in the distance,” she says. “In the summer, Sea Fair festivities include hydroplane races and the Sea Fair Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.” East Seattle is an area that is known for big tech companies as well as parks, festivals, art events, and more.
No matter what clients need help with, Laura is always there to make their lives easier. “I want to be as much of a help to them as I can be. Clients come to me for my years of experience and local perspective, and I strive to take care of them as friends.”
