Paul Yancey began his professional career as a superstar in network marketing and became one of the top income earners at one company with a sale organization of over 10,000 people. When he moved to North Carolina, he decided to use his sales skills to pursue a career in real estate. “It seemed like a natural transition, and I have always been enamored by real estate and luxury homes,” he recalls. “My grandmother was a successful realtor and sold homes until she was 89 years old”.
He now works as a broker agent for Southern Homes of the Carolinas in Cornelius, North Carolina, serving the Charlotte metro and Lake Norman region. Paul reports that his business is 100% repeat and referral clientele. “It’s all about customer service, honesty and performance,” he says. “I’m there for my clients to guide them into making the best decisions, so they can attain their real estate goals. I consider myself a relational agent and I try to make each transaction seem smooth and effortless.”
Paul prides himself in his ability to negotiate the best deals for his clients. His 89-point marketing plan sells homes for the most amount of money in the least amount of time. His clients call him a “home selling beast,” which sets himself apart from his competitors.
Paul has sold over 200 homes in his career and is a 10-time 5-STAR award winner of Charlotte Magazine’s recognition for over-all customer service and client satisfaction for 2011-2020. His philosophy is simple: “Do the right thing and clients will always be happy and recommend me and my team to their friends.”
As a “relational” agent, Paul always adds a personal touch when reaching out to his clients. “I do frequent pop-byes to drop off little treats and gifts,” he says. “I also make phone calls, send out a monthly newsletter that offers pertinent market and community information, and hold client appreciation events, like bowling nights or a pie party for Thanksgiving.”
Paul says he spends more money advertising his listings than most agents. “It’s about investing in my client and in my product,” he notes. “I bring in the best photographers, the best videographers. I feature drone photography, virtual and 3D walkthroughs, whatever it takes to feature a property and put it on the map. After all, you don’t get a second chance at a first impression.”
What Paul loves most about his job is the joy and fulfillment he brings to his clients at the end of the day. “This is probably the biggest financial transaction they will ever make in their lives, and I get to orchestrate that journey,” he asserts. “And I’m always there for them many years after the closing.”
Paul is a big believer in giving back. He is a strong supporter of his churches community house where they educate children in need with real life skills. He is also major contributor for their international outreach programs.
A resident of Lake Norman, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors. “I love the lake! I live on the lake; I play on the lake. I live here because of the lake!” he exclaims.
Moving forward, Paul wants to continue along his current successful path. “Eventually, I will bring on new agents, which will afford me more time to enjoy my active lifestyle,” he says. “But until then, I enjoy helping people reach their real estate dreams.
