Kevin Erikson found his path to real estate during the recession of 2008. A friend who was a builder in southern Maine called him and suggested they flip houses together. Excited by the opportunity, Kevin moved to the Maine coast from southern New Hampshire, began managing job sites, and soon obtained his real estate license. After focusing on construction for five years, word spread about the caring service Kevin provides, and he began to do more and more real estate transactions. “Soon my real estate business took off and overtook the building work I’d been doing,” he explains. In 2020, he joined Carey and Giampa Realtors and is currently running their entire Maine division. He focuses his work on York County, as well as the northern sea coast of New Hampshire.
His clients rave that Kevin is warm, generous, and attentive. He’s well known throughout the community for his caring service, expertise, and genuine desire to get to know his clients and help them achieve their goals. “It is a small area, which is nice. Once you get to know people, you really get to know them,” he says. Kevin is dedicated to health, fitness, and wellness in all aspects of his life. Staying healthy allows him to keep his focus on his clients—he always has lots of energy and enthusiasm for them. An impressive eighty-five percent of his business comes from repeat and referral clients. Kevin’s clients often become close friends, so staying in touch with them comes naturally. Many of his clients work in the building industry as contractors or landscapers and Kevin provides them with referrals as well.
When it comes time to market listings, Kevin utilizes all of the extensive marketing resources available through Carey and Giampa Realtors. He posts each listing on the MLS and all the major real estate websites, but also purchases extensive print advertising in publication such as Homes & Land. He hires professional photographers and creates aerial video of most properties, as well as video walkthroughs. This high end, thorough approach often leads to quick sales at competitive prices. Kevin specializes in luxury listings and has already closed over $14 million in sales this year.
“My favorite part of the job is putting someone in a house that they love,” he says. “It’s rewarding to help first time homebuyers. I also work with many people buying second homes and it’s great to help them find that dream home!” Kevin is an active participant at York Golf & Tennis Club where he teaches golf and tennis fitness training classes. He continues to flip houses with his business partner, Tristan Swanson, and enjoys working on his own home, which was built in 1900. In his free time, he enjoys hiking trails, paddle boarding, tennis, and golf.
For the future, he plans to continue growing his team for Carey and Giampa Realtors, while providing the same caring, personalized service his clients have come to expect.
