Rich Aronson is a lifelong Chicagoan who got his start in the business twenty-six years ago. At the time, he was an attorney and a lobbyist, but always had an interested in real estate. After cutting his teeth in development and home rehabs, he decided to earn his license and make the transition full-time. Now, decades later, Rich has established himself as an industry expert, with the track record to prove it.

Today, Rich spearheads his work under the banner of Dream Town Realty. Prior to this affiliation, he founded and ran his own real estate and development company for more than eighteen years. Accordingly, his practical experience, knowledge of the market, and strategy are tried-and-true. In fact, almost the entirety of his business is driven by repeat and referral clientele, many of whom are developers, investors, and rehabbers themselves. Whether buyers or sellers, clients turn to Rich for his counsel time and again. “I treat all my clients like family,” he says. “I give them the best advice I possibly can so they make well-informed decisions. I give them the benefit of my years of experience, and because I am also an attorney by education, rehabber and developer, I set myself apart for my knowledge. I have experience with zoning, planning, land use, cost of construction, and I’m able to give clients’ a unique perspective.” Not only does Rich’s diverse experience add value to his work alongside clients, it also ensures that every facet of a transaction is overseen by a savvy industry veteran.

When listing properties, Rich puts this experience to multifaceted use. Even before properties make their MLS debut, he launches a pre-marketing campaign. Then, strategically priced homes are leveraged across the full suite of social media platforms and listing sites. Rich also taps his extensive network of industry colleagues and prospective buyers in order to move properties off the market with expediency. “I’ve had a passion for real estate since I was young,” he remembers. “I’ve been crawling around these building projects since I was a kid. I’m a people person that loves to pair others with the right properties, even if it means that finding the right property takes a little longer. I love working with my clients, which also includes sharing new ideas in terms or rehab and redevelopment potential.” All told, Rich has sold more than $150-million in real estate over the course of his industry tenure.

Beyond the office, Rich gives back to his community on the hyper-local level. For the past twenty years, he has served on his neighborhood zoning committee, and supports other causes close to his heart. In his free hours, he most enjoys time spent with family and friends, golfing, and hanging out with life partner of nineteen years, Nyan, and their dog, Oprah.

As for his future plans, Rich intends to explore expansion opportunities in other states. Finally, with nearly three decades of insight and experience, Rich Aronson considers what he has come to value most about his hard-won career. “At the end of the day,” he says, “real estate is going to be one of the most important and costly things a person purchases in their lifetime. At its core, it’s a people business. That’s what I love most.”
