Licensed back in 1999, Carol Guzman always took a hands-on approach to real estate. Since her industry debut, Carol has expanded her knowledge and fortified her reputation, all the while honing in on the select class of senior buyers and sellers. Today, Carol specializes in 55+ communities in the Denver metro area, where she has built a practice defined by integrity, unique value, and a commitment to comprehensive service.
Under the banner of Your Castle Real Estate, Carol has done significant research into every 55+ senior community in the region, compiling data, photos, videos, and profiles of each institution. In turn, clients look to Carol as a one-stop-shop when approaching a new real estate milestone, and roughly two-thirds of her business is generated by satisfied repeat and referral clientele. “My number one goal is to help seniors as they transition to a simpler lifestyle,” she explains. “We help them downsize, provide them with any resources they might need, and overall make the process easier.” What’s more, Carol’s knowledge basis is unparalleled when it comes to senior living options in the Denver area. “I’m very attuned to the 55+ communities in Metro Denver, on a hyper-local level,” she says. “From years of experience and research, I know everything there is to know about them, from HOA information to the floor plans of every unit. Whatever a client may be looking for, I can find it. It makes the process very straightforward and seamless.”
Understanding the magnitude of the transition into senior living, Carol takes guesswork out of the equation by being communicative, caring, and extremely thorough. “My commitment is to my customers first,” she says. “I have the necessary tools to help clients make an informed decision. It’s a streamlined process, stress-free, and that’s what clients love about it. I’m easy to work with and I don’t let problems frustrate me. I seek solutions.” When listing properties, Carol applies the same level of determination. Beginning with professional photography, virtual tours, and high-end brochures, she then turns to digital marketing to achieve wide-ranging exposure. She also taps her extensive network of fellow agents in the area and commonly closes homes within 21-days of their initial list date, with price-points ranging from $140,000 to $680,000.
Beyond the office, Carol is active in her community on a local level, where she serves on her neighborhood’s HOA board and participates in the Heather Gardens & Windsor Gardens communities. She also gives a charitable gift in her clients’ name at the close of every successful transaction, in addition to her contributions to the Lupus Foundation, Denver Arthritis Group, and Denver’s Children’s hospital. In her free hours, she most enjoys time spent with her family and loved ones, boating, biking, cheering on Denver’s various pro teams, and music.
As for the future, Carol intends to build upon her relationships with area builders, communities, and senior residents. With two decades of experience, Carol Guzman now considers what she enjoys most about her career. “It’s so rewarding to work with seniors during this time of transition, especially when I can ease stress along the way,” she says. “I’ve got a big heart, and I really do care. I just love to hear their positive feedback. It makes the whole process special.”
