Senior loan officer Brandon Cobb is a top mortgage professional who genuinely cares for the best interest of his clients. “I’m all-in. I go the extra mile unconditionally,” says Brandon, who is based out of the Washington, DC metro area but serves a wide range of clients nationwide for over 12 years. When Brandon began his career in the mortgage industry there was not much training available. “I was fortunate enough to learn from a great mentor.  After helping numerous families I’ve learned that it’s not so much about the loan products available, but how mortgages are utilized to achieve the clients’ optimal financial goals.”

Brandon’s set of knowledge is not limited to a specific loan type or clientele.  “I do purchases, home improvement loans, VA/FHA loans, debt consolidation, first time home buyer loans, nontraditional loans, small loans and jumbo loans.  I work with everyone from the more complex income profiles to the straighter forward ones, from high to low credit,” he says. “Everyone should have the opportunity to own a home, and I am here as a guide.  If I cannot do something for them immediately, I’ll build a plan for them, so they can own a home in a near future.” In addition, he is a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and a Certified Military Housing Specialist. “I also focus on helping REALTORS® grow their businesses rather than just close deals. They all have different needs, but I help by showing them how to better serve their existing clientele and increase the families they serve more effectively”

In Brandon’s career, he has trained hundreds of Loan Officers to enter the industry and succeed as well as helping veteran loan officers achieve greater success.  Brandon has provided hands-on start-to-finish coaching in the mortgage process.  “With my background in teaching and training I have developed a mortgage process for home buyers that will be educational and fully transparent.  My clients will know all the details, steps and long-term impact of their decisions with getting a mortgage today, so they make the right choice while having a stress-free experience.”

In addition, Brandon works with select partners in the financial and home service industries to provide further value to his clients’ needs by connecting them as needed to trusted advisors and vendors.   The mortgage is just one piece of a person’s financial picture, he says, and it is a tool that helps them reach their end goal, whatever that might be.  “My goal is to put my clients in the best possible position.”

“My philosophy is to provide the best service and the smoothest process to everyone involved,” says Brandon. “If my clients are not happy, I am not happy.” He also front-loads the process with an educational and a consultative approach. “Preparation is so important,” he says. “I stop and assess every situation separately. This is not a conveyor belt. Buying a home is the largest transaction in most people’s lives. Every person has different priorities and it is my job is to meet their individual needs while positioning them for the future.”

Brandon’s service to the community rests in his devotion to family and local church. “When we got married my wife and I tried to do something new every month, whether taking adventures local or traveling abroad. Now we are focused on adventures for our young children,” he says.  We have two amazing kids, a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year old boy.  In addition, he has taught bible classes to youth at his church. “I started with kindergarteners, then middle graders and high school,” he says. “Doing this really parallels the business side of my life, too, by teaching people the deeper life lessons.”
