Maria Willing Kennedy started in the mortgage business with the desire to make a difference in people’s lives and help them accomplish their financial goals. Mortgage financing can be stressful, which is why Maria strives to make the process as simple as possible and works to develop strategies to help those facing hurdles. “My clients tend to appreciate my patience. There are many people dealing with credit issues or facing other obstacles to buying a home. I like to sit down and help them develop a plan to achieve their goals. We’re in this process together, and I’m here to help. It’s important to make sure it isn’t overwhelming. I really care about the people I work with, and I care about their outcome. I want them to get the best loan out there,” she says.
Outside of work Maria believes in giving back to her community. Before COVID-19 she was a volunteer at Lincoln Park Community Services where she helped the homeless population. Currently she is very involved and active in her daughter’s school and their fundraising events. In her time off she loves to travel, read, exercise and spend quality time with her family and friends.
