Danan Powell is a realtor for the people, with over two decades of experience in the field. His background is in IT, where he intended to work while investing in real estate. After an unexpected layoff in 2001, Danan began seriously considering a career shift. He laughs, “I saw a real estate sign and it was a sign.” From there, Real Estate Agent Danan connected with his future broker and “jumped feet first” into real estate. 

Today, Danan Powell boasts 20 years in the business and is currently building a dynamic team in the Seattle area. He primarily works within northern Seattle, including North King County and South Snohomish. However, Danan is not bound to a specific location. His wealth of experience grants him knowledge of property values across Washington state. He shares, “If my clients have a need, then I go there.” 

Seattle Washington’s Danan Powell says that people are drawn to northern Seattle for its rich outdoor offerings, “There’s the rain, but there are so many lakes, and so much natural beauty, but it’s great in the summertime.” Danan notes that the local economy is thriving, with a variety of good jobs in the area. Seattle is also home to several major headquarters, including Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, and Zillow. As a coffee connoisseur, Danan frequents Visible Coffee Roasters in Mill Creek as well as a local Vienna-inspired coffee shop. He notes how Seattle is a true foodie destination, with high-class restaurant offerings ranging from steak to seafood. 

Danan’s percentage of repeat business is currently at 35-40%. When asked what sets him apart as an agent, he shares, “I really come from the heart.” He continues, “I try to treat every client as if they were my family. ” He recognizes that the real estate process is a “big transaction,” and strives to be a consultant, not a salesperson. Danan values honesty and transparency throughout the process, “I always want to give them all the information in order to help them make an informed decision.”

Danan sends out quarterly magazines and handwritten holiday cards to all of his past clients. He also makes it a point to call and reach out to them frequently. Current listings are marketed across various MLS and social media platforms in order to “push them out to as many places as possible.” Danan’s current annual sales volume ranges from 10-15 million, with big goals for the coming year. He plans to grow a diverse team, that embodies the richness and diversity of the area. 

When asked what he most enjoys about the industry, Danan shares, “I like helping people achieve their goals. Whether it’s investing or buying a property, it’s being a support for them.” Danan stays active in the community through various community initiatives, including raising money for MS, hosting recycling events, and participating in community food drives. In his free time, Danan loves to travel, work out, and simply get outside in nature. 

Danan’s work is a significant part of his life, “Nobody is going to work harder for you.” Danan Powell concludes, “I like to help all types of clients, and give them all the same level of service, regardless of their price points and background.”
