Originally from Canada, Dustin Rennie and Will Mitchell began their journey in real estate as High School friends. Dustin Rennie began his career in 2017. “I was working in tech for a publicly traded company. My best friend and current business partner Will Mitchell was in Belize working in real estate,” recalls Dustin, when asked about his industry origins. “He mentioned to me that there was an opportunity to take over and oversee RE/MAX’s Belize region. It sounded like a great opportunity, so I jumped at it.”

Since then, Dustin and Will have built a thriving business that currently employs nearly eighty agents spread out over eleven offices, servicing both Belize and The Bahamas. “Our team is more than just the agents. We also have our office with a sales and media team, a client concierge, and an office administrative assistant,” says Dustin. The RE/MAX Belize team embraces the team concept over the solo approach. “If you want to go fast, go alone,” Dustin says. “If you want to go far, go as a team.”

Currently, a significant portion of business is based upon repeat and referred clients, a true testament to the excellent service they provide. “We understand that ninety-nine percent of the people we work with are from Canada and the U.S.,” says Dustin, when asked how he has managed to generate so much trust and loyalty. “For many of them, it’s their first time buying a home in a foreign country, and they don’t know who to talk to or where to go. We provide a network of lawyers, closing companies, architects and engineers for those who plan on building a house. Working with foreign buyers requires a global reach, working in a small community and country requires a great reputation.”
