With a combined sixty years of experience under their belts, Stephen and Liz – working under the banner of the highly-reputable Compass agency – are a force to be reckoned with in the San Fernando Valley real estate market, with the two highest local sales in the past fifteen years under their belts.  Selling the entire vast region, from the North Valley to Chatsworth to Calabasas to Malibu, the pair have become widely known for their consummately professional approach to assisting their clients with buying and selling luxury homes. Nearly the entirety of their impressive business is based on repeat and referred customers, a sure sign of success in their highly-competitive market.

“We always go above and beyond for our clients,” says Stephen, when asked to account for the impressive level of client loyalty and retention they inspire. “We really strive to not just meet their expectations, but to exceed them at every turn.” Reviews the pair have received show that Stephen and Liz have won over even the most jaded of clients, and even those who began with low opinions of Realtors in general have been won over by the care and level of detail they demonstrate during the course of every transaction. “We work really hard and we try to surprise people with how much we’re willing to help and to go out of our way to provide excellent service,” explains Liz. “With some of our listings, we work on them for up to a year before they go on the market; helping get the home ready, making recommendations for the client, staging, taking care of issues like maintenance or landscaping. Another factor in Stephen and Liz’s success is their marketing expertise, and they can be credited with pioneering strategies that have since become the norm, including gorgeous professional photography for every listing. “This area of the valley didn’t have those things when we first began,” says Stephen, “but now everyone is doing it. Marketing is really our forte.” The couple don’t simply hire a photographer, but guide each shoot to make sure each listing is shown in its very best light. “We’re very involved in the process, we’re there the entire day, making sure the photos are framed correctly, and that each shot is perfect.” Liz has become expert at writing the copy for each listing, and the pair also utilize print media, mailings, and a robust social media campaign to make sure their properties are seen by as many potential buyers as possible.

Liz and Stephen are also very much social-minded, and work hard to give back whenever they can. One particular passion is an autism charity, and Liz recently chaired a fundraising event that she found incredibly rewarding on a personal level. They also donate their time to a local homeless shelter, and they take their two children to serve meals to the needy each Thanksgiving.

Looking to the future, Stephen and Liz plan to continue growing their business, and possibly building a team – mentoring newer agents is something they profess interest in – though their efforts will stay decidedly hands-on.
