An East Texas native, Trina had sales and banking experience and was working full-time for the Chamber of Commerce of Longview. After she had her first child in 1991 she decided she’d like a job with more flexibility that allowed her to work with people. In 1994 she studied for her license and went to work for one of the largest real estate company’s in Longview. In her first year, she closed over $4 million in transactions and she’s been an industry leader ever since. Now with 25 years in the business, she runs her own brokerage, Trina Griffith and Company, Real Estate, LLC, where she leads a team of just under twenty agents. Trina and her husband, Daren, have made real estate their full time business and passion! They started young by building spec homes and selling them, and by owning rental properties and apartment complex. While Trina is passionate and has a keen eye for home interiors and décor, Daren is just as passionate about developing land into ranches. “We owned many ranches that my husband developed into beautiful properties and sold through the years. Our current project is a 500+ acre ranch with two large lakes over 100 acres, flowing streams and waterfalls, a completely rebuilt and remodeled 5500 sq. ft. home and much more! It is a picturesque creation that we both love,” says Trina.
Among her honors and awards, Trina has been honored to be chosen as BSCENE Magazine’s first Longview, Texas cover personality. She was also featured on the cover of Longview’s Community Magazine, Infinity Plus, in December 2019.
For many years Trina has named Best Real Estate Agent by Best of East Texas News Journal Poll and her company has earned this honor also. What’s Trina’s favorite part of the job? “The people I get to work with!” she says. She loves getting to know her clients and helping them to achieve their goals. “I look at a transaction with a client as the beginning of a ‘relationship’ and as a valued friend!” To give back to the community that’s given her so much, Trina has served on the Board of the Trinity School of Texas and she is very involved with the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer’s Association—which are both diseases that her parents have been affected by—and her local church. In her cherished free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons and one grandson. For the future, Trina plans to keep the residential part of her business going strong while also developing a land division.
