Top Agent Tina Plett of Sutton Group Kilkenny in Winnipeg has nearly a decade of experience helping clients achieve their real estate dreams. Focusing primarily on listings, and with a practical, dedicated approach, Tina helps her clients navigate the often-convoluted real estate process with authenticity, genuine concern, and a wealth of real estate knowledge.

Tina began her journey in real estate when arthritis forced her to leave her previous career. “I had a really emotionally fulfilling career,” she says, “but I couldn’t do it anymore. The clincher is that I’m very service-oriented, and everything in service is physical. I was good at sales, but I had to sell something I believed in. So I chose real estate because I believe in it. It can be a profound experience, it’s something that roots you. I want people to have a home, a place to call their own. I know that it changed my life when I went shopping for a home with my husband. I can sell real estate because I believe in it.” Since getting her license in May of 2010, she has not only built a thriving business but has also been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including both the Directors and Executive And President’s Awards at her company.

With more than eighty percent of her business based on repeat and referral clients, Tina is clearly providing exceptional service and inspiring impressive customer loyalty. “My clients know they can count on me,” says Tina by way of explaining this fidelity. “I think that what people appreciate the most is how I personally walk them through the process, because when someone buys a home they are often unaware of the stresses that come along with it. I’m very service-oriented, and there are a lot of things I do for my clients that other agents don’t do.”

Working with partner Eniko Crozier since 2015, the team places a strong emphasis on an area that is not always a major focus of many other agents: clear and consistent communication. “A common complaint about real estate agents is that once the property is listed, the client doesn’t hear from the agent. So as part of my marketing proposal I very specifically let them know when we’re going to contact them, exactly what data they will receive so that they always know what’s happening with the competition, what’s happening with the listing, and what’s happening with the feedback. They’re going to hear from us on a regular basis.” As Seller Representative Specialists, the pair focus primarily on the listing side of the industry, and have fully embraced cutting edge digital technologies to make sure their properties are viewed by as many potential buyers as possible.

One of the things Tina enjoys most about her job is the flexibility and the lack of typical nine-to-five constraints. “I’ve had a lot of fulfilling relationships in my previous jobs,” she explains, “but now I love that I get to drive all over the countryside.  Just this weekend I was in a small town I never knew existed.” She also loves the relationship aspect of selling real estate. “I love to meet new people.” Tina also enjoys staying up-to-date on current real estate trends and practices. “I’m very stimulated by growth, so I like to learn,” she says. “I believe that the more educated you are, the more fun you’re going to have. You can just have fun and not end up struggling or stumbling along the way.”

When she’s not working, Tina is passionate about helping others. Among her philanthropic efforts is her support of the Robb Nash Project, an organization that engages young people through the power of music and storytelling to inspire hope and encourage positive life choices.

When asked what she might like to convey to prospective clients, Tina grows thoughtful for a moment before responding, “I want them to know that they will get much more for the same commission when they work with me.”
