“I’ve always had a passion for homes,” Rosalyne Cohen says. She’s been surrounded by real estate for as long as she can remember, with her father working as a general contractor and her husband as a builder. Now having been in the industry herself for almost seven years, Rosalyne has made great strides. Serving the greater Los Angeles area, she’s become one of the top real estate agents in the region and is showing no signs of slowing down.

“My business is actually built on referrals from previous and current clients.” She attributes this high success rate to her fearless, positive attitude. “I don’t get scared of a competition in a bidding war or over-asking prices,” she explains. “Every transaction is different.” Combined with her experience and knowledge, it is this very same fearless nature that makes her an asset to her clients. She is never afraid to jump headfirst into any deal and if any roadblocks arise, she is quick to find a creative solution by involving all parties and fostering a positive atmosphere of teamwork. “Communication is the key to a successful transaction, you need to keep it POSITIVE, simple and straightforward to work together, everyone has a better chance of winning. I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers. It’s very important to understand the processes that go into each side of the transaction in order to negotiate the best deal for my clients.”

Rosalyne really looks at what her clients want and aims to give them the best price for a property that ticks most or all of their boxes. Specializing in selling new construction homes, Rosalyne is well-versed in what sells in the current market. “I always like to share with my clients what features will sell based on the location, and prepare them for the sale from A-Z, including linking them with interior/exterior designers, staging companies, general contractors and more.” She is honest and tells them when a property isn’t right for them or when a home should be sold at a later date. “My real passion is helping people, so it is satisfying for me to see the appreciation and joy in my clients’ eyes.” Her sellers benefit from her tech-driven marketing, as she sells homes at or above the listing price, often before they are officially listed. During today’s competitive seller’s market, she finds creative ways to get her buyer’s what they want, which includes looking at off-market properties.

Outside of real estate, Rosalyne is involved in the community through the Organization for Family Needs, and acts as captain in a volleyball league for mothers called Mamanet, which also supports Stand By Me, a nonprofit that provides emotional/physical support to cancer patients and their families. She is happily married and is the mother of 4 boys, ages 12, 10, 8 and 3.

Rosalyne also makes it a priority to take part in new training and certifications. “I always educate myself,” she says. She holds several designations, including Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource Certification (SFR®), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), and CMA Specialist. By thoroughly educating herself, Rosalyne is better able to prepare her buyers and sellers for what to expect, as knowledge equals power in the real estate world.

Rosalyne explains that her favorite part about working in real estate is working with other people, including new clients, new agents, and clients she has been friends with for years. Looking ahead, Rosalyne is eager to continue growing her team and business. “I love my job, so even if I have challenges, I learn from them.”
