Nuemi Largo of Modesto, California, brings a specialized blend of candor and communication to thrive in the competitive real estate markets along the west coast. “I’m just real with everyone I meet. I’m not a salesperson, I’m just myself, and people can immediately see that.”

In 2005, Nuemi entered the real estate industry, and enjoyed three years of success preceding the market crash of 2008. Afterwards, she began raising a family; and when her eldest child was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, she prioritized the well-being of her loved ones above her career. “I think staying at home raising my kids for ten yeras equipped me with the patience for this business. I’m told that’s one thing people really like about me – real estate can be an emotional roller coaster, whether you’re buying or selling, and I can be there for clients with the patience to stick around and encourage them, because that’s what I do for my kids. I’m there every step of the way, and I believe communication is key for everything.”

Nuemi re-entered the real estate industry in July of 2018, and after working with a team for a few years, decided to strike out on her own in September of 2021. Her efforts are centered on her hometown of Modesto, and she services the entire Central Valley. During the four years since her return, she has maintained an average of thirteen transactions each year, and she has found that her sincerity and follow-up communication has started to pay dividends: nearly all of her business comes by way of referral. “I don’t need to do much advertising, but one thing I do each month is use LoLo, basically promoting local businesses. Every month they select a local business, like a new restaurant, and I attach my contact information to an offer for a free meal or a promotion. It’s just an easy way to help clients and businesses at the same time. I also send a letter from the heart every quarter.”

The growing business sector in Modesto, combined with the robust farming communities of the larger Central Valley, has helped Nuemi maintain her steadily growing enterprise. She is grateful for the opportunity to support her family pursuing a career that she loves: “I’m a social butterfly. I am a giver at heart, aside from being active raising my children and a full time business woman, I also make the time to be active in my church, which usually takes place at a friends house where people from different cities come to commune with us. I go there to help, whether by giving a word of encouragement to someone who needs it or help financially. Another way I keep my ‘love’ tank full is by hanging out with my close circle of friends at least once a month we go to some of our favorites local spots: Papapavlo’s Mediterranean, Raw Sushi Bistro, the Grub Hub which is a gated court with a variety of food trucks; or we’ll do one of the festivals here. We just had the Graffiti Festival, and there was artwork and car shows all over. That’s the kind of stuff that gets my tank full.” The vibrant city of Modesto attracts a growing number of clients, and simultaneously creates an exciting environment for Nuemi and her family.

“I do have five kids, so I am always thinking about what’s best for them when I’m thinking about the future of my work.” Nuemi is excited to grow her business alongside the city, and she plans to continue honing the skills and practices that have gotten her this far!
