At twenty-three, Luke bought and flipped his first of several condos, making good returns on each of his investments, all before even becoming an agent. “I started realizing that I have a decent eye for this,” Luke remembers. At the time, Luke was working towards becoming a golf professional, when something about real estate clicked for him. “I flipped a switch and fell in love with the process,” he says. “I thought I could offer more if I got into the industry.”

Today, Luke has been a licensed agent for five years and is a realtor with eXp Realty in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Currently over half of his business is derived from repeat and referral clients.

It’s Luke’s love of serving people through the home-buying or selling process that inspires him day-to-day in his career. “There’s a lot that people are going through in a real estate transaction,” Luke says. “I love being able to be in someone’s life and make life-long friends, and give them hope for whatever’s coming up in their future.”

Luke attributes his success with clients to a strong knowledge base of how to present a home, whether he’s explaining a house’s build history and long-term integrity or running numbers for a property’s investment potential. “It’s about making my clients comfortable and letting me help them drive the bus so they can make the best decision.”

When it comes to marketing, Luke promotes his listings through Instagram engagement, and through his website. Every property is presented in its best light with drone footage, and professional photography, and listing mailers that proliferate a property’s local zip codes. Luke works to connect each of his properties with the right customers, utilizing his client history and network of fellow agents to connect sellers and buyers, circumventing unnecessary steps for a smoothly processed transaction. Last year, Luke processed twenty-seven transactions and already has completed twenty-two in the first quarter of 2021. Annually, Luke closes $10-20 million in volume.

As a realtor who cares about giving back, Luke and his wife have often volunteered through their church to serve meals at the local Union Gospel Mission.
When he’s not working, Luke enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants with his wife, Lydia, and playing with their dog, Vinny. Golf is still a great passion of Luke’s as well. “Now that I’m in real estate, I’m able to enjoy the game in my downtime.”

Luke is currently at work on the next step to grow his business: partnering with other eXp agents for a white-glove concierge service connecting Minnesota clients looking for properties in Arizona, Florida, and California and other states. The partnership creates what Luke describes as “A perfect hand off,” assuring that clients seeking properties in those states are in good care from the minute their plane touches down.

Luke is still young and growing in his career, and hopes to continue making great relationships with clients and colleagues.
