Throughout her life, Lori Willis has always been drawn to real estate. Coming of age, she had an opportunity to learn the business from her father, who served as a leading agent on the Eastern Shore since 1944. Later, Lori would pursue a life in investment banking, but over time found herself drawn back to the family business. Inspired, she decided to switch tracks, applying her foundations as a financial advisor and entrepreneur to launch her own career as an agent in 2006. She hasn’t looked back since.

Today, Lori is an agent with Long & Foster Real Estate, powered by Christie’s International Real Estate, where she assists clients from Annapolis, Maryland, to the beaches of Delaware. Licensed to serve in both states, she has combined her elite business acumen with her comprehensive market knowledge to assist buyers and sellers of all kinds.

When listing a home, Lori is hands-on with her clients each step of the way. She believes creating an individualized plan to prepare the house for the market is critically important. Once this is perfected, she shares a highly targeted digital and social media campaign. In the meantime, she leverages proven outlets like print campaigns and outreach to the surrounding neighborhoods—all to give her clients an added advantage. But elsewhere, Lori is just as devoted to her buyers, carefully guiding them to the right investment for their best interests. For her, the transaction is never finished, as she keeps in touch long after the closing to ensure her clients are satisfied in their new homes.

Over the years, Lori has earned a tremendous reputation throughout the region, with the vast majority of her volume coming from repeat clients and referrals. Having made the Gold Team at Long & Foster Real Estate in each of the past three years, she is most fulfilled by the ways in which her career has allowed her to leave an indelible mark on her community. “In real estate, I am so fortunate to have met so many amazing people,” she says. “I believe in treating my clients like family throughout the process and helping them fully integrate into our community. In fact, I’ve become so close with them that some have attended our Thanksgiving dinner.”

Outside of real estate, Lori is the principal of another thriving business which she has owned for 22 years. An avid equestrian, dressage is her passion and any time she has with her horses is a treasure. When she’s not with clients, she can be found tending to her own horse farm or boating with her husband on the Chesapeake Bay—enjoying all Maryland has to offer.

Going forward, Lori has strong plans for the future of her business. As her volume maintains its steady growth, she intends on expanding her client base while scaling the model of boutique service that has truly set her apart. “I’m a protector by nature,” she says. “More than anything, I love coaching and guiding my clients through their transactions. After all, whether a client is buying or selling, these are among the largest decisions they will ever make. As such, I try to seamlessly navigate the process and protect my people—from start to finish.”
