Top Agent Ann Dempsey is truly one of a kind in the Real Estate industry. She has made it her life’s mission to help her clients achieve their Real Estate goals. In 1978, Ann’s journey began when she found herself at a crossroads in her life. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Baylor University, she had to decide whether to pursue a Master’s degree or start another career. After witnessing the success one friend was enjoying in Real Estate, and… attracted to the flexible schedule this career could give her as a mother of two, Ann dedicated herself to mastering the world of Real Estate. Determined to succeed, Ann embraced her motto, “Quitting is not an option.” Four decades later, she is a multi-million-dollar producer and is still serving the same community in Glynn County, Georgia….serving St. Simons Island, Brunswick, Jekyll Island, and Sea Island.
Ann works with her daughter Dee Dempsey Taylor, for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodnett Cooper Real Estate, as The Dempsey Team. Ann devotes herself to fulfilling her client’s every need and anticipating their questions and concerns before they even think of them. Her wealth of industry knowledge makes her an invaluable resource. “They need to hear from me and know what is happening. I pride myself on trying to do a good job, being professional, very detail oriented, and trying to make every transaction as smooth as possible….but also enjoyable,” Ann explains, adding, “I say to them with a twinkle in my eye, ‘you can call me 50 times a day if you need to.” I really do want to treat people like I want to be treated.” Dee is constantly working behind the scenes, handling a great deal of the marketing details, arranging for professional photographers for every listing, making videos, sending mass mailings, and showing properties in their busy schedule. Dee and Ann also offer advice to sellers about staging their homes so their properties will show the best that they possibly can.
Ann’s career may have begun before modern technology like cell phones existed, but she isn’t stuck in the past. She understands that to be successful in this highly-competitive industry you have to embrace technology. “It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in the business for 40 years, you have to stay up with the times.” She recognizes the importance of using social media, targeted internet marketing, engaging and specialized websites for her listings, as well as many other available tools. She is currently having a professional video made introducing her and her business to new clients and customers. She is a firm believer in continuing Education, holding the designations GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist).
The most accurate indicator of a dedicated and accomplished agent is their level of repeat and referral business. For Ann, the lion’s share of her business comes from her loyal following of clients, who sing her praises and testify to Ann’s stellar reputation as a knowledgeable, caring, and committed agent. They extol her many virtues, “Her broad knowledge of the market, outstanding thoroughness, and solid professionalism made our purchase a very positive & rewarding experience. She is one of the most capable real estate professionals we have ever encountered.” Others acclaim, “She actually cares about her clients and listens to what they want.”
