In the late 80’s, Jill McFeron answered a help-wanted ad for a job so she could be near her then-boyfriend. That job, a receptionist with the major commercial real estate agency J. Mahoney Company would ultimately change the course of her life. “I can now say I walked into a gold mine,” she exclaims. “Not only did I get to be near my boyfriend, now my husband, but I learned the real estate business from the inside out.”

With a college business degree already under her belt, Jill went on to earn a California real estate license in 1987. “I never practiced in California because my husband wanted to move,” she says. “So we landed in Colorado where I transferred my license.”

Her residential career began at The Rawhide Company where she was fortunate to be around people who taught her pricing. “I use those skills to this day and will be forever grateful to their tutelage,” she says. “After 20 years with the RE/MAX franchises, I decided to make the change to Keller Williams.” As a premier agent, she now heads up a 3-person team specializing in Greater Colorado Springs, Black Forest, Monument, Peyton, and Falcon (Woodmen Hills and Meridian Ranch).

Jill boasts a 55% repeat and referral clientele. “I believe they come back because of my knowledge of the area and my approachability,” she says. “We have full time support and we so appreciate our clients. We always put their needs first and serve them with utmost care.”

Her clients agree. Writes one customer:“Jill is the consummate realtor. This was an out-of-state sale so I relied entirely on Jill to guide me through the process and handle any issues or details out of my reach. She took charge of the listing, marketed, and found a buyer in record time.  A multiple award-winner, Jill is the proud recipient of the Homelight Award, Mountain States Award, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, The RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, and The Elite 25 of Colorado Springs. In 2019, she was #1 Keller Williams agent with the #1 KW Franchise in Colorado, and the #1 female KW agent in the Colorado Region.

Jill remains in touch with her clients by reaching out with occasion cards, emails, texts, and phone calls. “We believe in eight touches per year,” she says. “And there’s always a reason to touch base. Right now, during the pandemic crisis, we reach out often just to make sure they’re doing okay.”

Jill develops her marketing campaign from the moment she meets with a client. She does two initial home visits to present a comparative marketing analysis report and a promotional plan. “Once they sign the listing agreement, we bring in stagers and sanitizers–then professional photographers and drone videographers,” she states. Properties are listed on the MLS, major real estate websites, and in the local newspaper.

Jill loves helping people move into the next phases of their lives, whether its first-time homebuyers or empty nesters. “I love being a part of what’s usually a happy time for them and helping them get there,” she says.

Jill resides in Black Forest with her husband who builds custom homes. Her two children, Zack and Ella, work with her in the business. When she’s not on the job, she adores horseback riding and is a professional equestrian.

As for her plans for the future, Jill is very happy with the forward momentum at which her business is moving. “I do hope to add some more buyer agents, but I’m not in a rush,” she says. “We’re all about quality, not quantity.”
