It can be argued that one of the most important characteristics a real estate professional can possess is the ability to understand a clients needs and wants. It’s certainly the case for Greg Drake, however, he takes that understanding to a whole other level.

The philosophy that Greg has adhered to throughout his 13-year career is to not only know what a client is looking for in their transition, but to get to the bottom of why they’re looking to transition in the first place. “Our expertise is to figure out the reason they’re looking to buy or sell and what their exit strategy is. Then we can act as their advisor and move forward in finding the right fit for them,” says Greg.

Hailing from Detroit and holding an MBA in International Tax, Greg found his niche and home in the Denver metro area in 2003, after seeking a change from advising executives in the auto industry as a CPA. “I got involved in real estate in 1995 because I wanted to help educate my clients regarding their own investments. As I did that, I really enjoyed it and found a passion for it,” recalls Greg.

Today top real estate agent in Colorado Greg Drake is the Broker/Owner of Realty Professionals, LLC, which he started in 2008. Greg leads a team of successful agents, each with a diverse background of their own and expert knowledge of the ever-evolving market. “We are true real estate professionals, and we all have a specialized background that helps support the industry, but may not be directly related to it,” explains Greg. “That allows us to truly understand our clients’ goals, lifestyle, debt structure or cash flow, so we can guide them to make the right decisions. However, if you ask Greg, he’ll tell you his greatest reward is witnessing the joy his clients experience at the close of a transaction. “When my clients give me that look that says they’re so happy to have finally found their home is priceless to me,” Greg says.

Although Greg’s days are busy running the business, he still finds time to give back to his community. Whether it’s coaching Little League baseball and basketball, encouraging kids to read with the summer reading program he founded, or sitting on the board of directors of Jeffco Schools Foundation, his aim is to motivate local youth to be active, all the while building character, sportsmanship, and providing the tools for them to thrive in school.

As for the future, in addition to expanding on the customer service aspect of the business, Greg has every intention of being at the forefront of building and solidifying the reputation of Realtors®. “It is my burning passion to have people recognize the value of the services we provide, and to think just as highly of a real estate professional as they would a CPA, attorney, or doctor,” says Greg. “I believe it’s critical for both the industry and the public.”
