How did Sean Baroni become the go-to realtor for residential real estate and investment properties? After working in financial planning, Sean Baroni started on the mortgage side of the business. He soon received his real estate license and at 23-years old, dove into the business. Eleven years later, he’s now President/Broker of NextHome Luxe Group in Glendale, which he co-owns with his business partner Art Hovsepian. Sean and the rest of the NextHome team serve Glendale, La Canada, La Crescenta, Sunland-Tujunga, Pasadena, Eagle Rock and Silver Lake.

A staggering 80% of NextHome Luxe Group’s business comes from repeat and referral clients. What keeps Sean’s clients coming back? “We don’t just sell—we consult,” he says. “Our clients appreciate the fact that we have a consulting approach. For buyers, we look at their goals and we figure out exactly what they want to find in a home. For sellers, we ask where they are headed and work with them to figure out how we can help them get there.” Sean and his team provide full service support throughout the transaction and beyond. “Even after close of escrow, we refer them to trust advisers, financial planners, and insurance providers,” he says. “We have the attitude of: ‘We are not just real estate agents. We are here to guide you through life and help you make the best financial decisions possible.”

Sean isn’t just a real estate broker. He distributes windows, kitchens and flooring to save money on his own flips. Many of Sean’s clients also remodel and resell homes, and he can often help them himself or refer them to any additional service providers they might need during that process. “We are able to offer our contractors, our guidance and our confidence behind a home they buy or sell,” he says. It’s this caring approach and expertise that results in loyal customers eager to spread the word about Sean and his team to their friends and family. “People trust us. That’s the biggest factor,” he says. “We’ve been able to build a new home from scratch in six months, or complete a full gutter remodel in three months.” That reliability is incredibly attractive to clients. To stay in touch with past clients, Sean reaches out by phone to let them know he’s thinking about them and see if they have any needs he can help them with.

NextHome is an incredibly tech savvy company that takes full advantage of pre-listing marketing opportunities. Before a listing is even posted on the MLS, Sean and his team share it on 800+ websites. He offers weekly analytics to sellers, empowering them so that they understand the marketing reach of their home. He and his team utilize custom online videos and professional photographs. Art greatly contributes to the branding, social media, and design, and does continuing education on digital marketing to ensure NextHome remains on the cutting edge of today’s techniques. They also create a thorough and tailored marketing campaign for each listing. “We have a big reach. We’ve done a great job of networking and connecting, and that’s worked for us and for our clients,” Sean says with a smile.

After working with Sean, his clients say they really appreciate his sense of humor. “We joke a lot and we have a fun time with them,” Sean says. He understands that the process can be stressful and that a little levity, especially when blended with professionalism and expertise, goes a long way towards putting his clients at ease. “We manage our clients’ stress and expectations. We make sure the transaction is seamless,” he says. What does Sean like most about his work? “I love people and I love helping people! Here we offer a little bit of everything: from financial planning, to support with house flipping. It’s important to me that our entire office has a culture of helping people.”

Sean has a long history of volunteering with the local real estate association at Glendale. He founded the local chapter of the Young Professional Network for the Glendale Association of Realtors, where he has been a Board of Director since 2012, Vice President, President Elect and will be the President for next year. He’s also a Board of Director for CAR. “I want to help the Association get to the next stage,” he says. He and his NextHome team donate money to local schools for improved computer labs. He also donates to the National Children’s Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “That’s what I take my pride in—helping people.” In his free time, he loves to spend time with his children, travel and eat well—he’s a foodie. For the future, he wants to help his team to grow both as real estate agents and potential business partners. With his dedication to his clients and his team, he’s sure to make that dream a reality!
