TOP REAL ESTATE AGENT IN CALIFORNIA HEIDI MARCHESOTTI
Top Real Estate Agent in California Heidi Marchesotti entered the Real Estate business with a decidedly unconventional plan. Her sister and others in her life were urging her to pursue it as a career, but she wasn’t convinced. Marchesotti recalls, “I decided the only way to end the debate was to get my license announcing to everyone: “I will sell one house and that’s it.” As it turns out, the business suited her very well and 10 years later Marchesotti is a consistent #1 producer.
As one of the owners of Mason McDuffie Highland Partners—Piedmont’s only Real Estate office—Heidi and her team are positioned to assist clients throughout the entire Bay Area, including Oakland, Piedmont, Montclair, Crocker Highlands, Rockridge, Upper Rockridge and Berkeley. Recently, The Partners opened a second location in the Montclair Village to further enhance their goals.
After a decade of pondering the concept of establishing a different culture for real estate, Highland Partners became a reality with partners Heidi Marchesotti, Adam Betta, Debbi DiMaggio and Mindy Sun, by realizing their combined dream of creating a boutique real estate company with an international presence. The entire team has worked hard to establish their firm as a high tech, high integrity real estate firm by creating access to the comprehensive and varied range of services buyers and sellers need. “We offer a concierge level of service,” Heidi explains. “We want to be a resource for every facet of our clients needs form A to Z, whether it’s an architect, handyman or donating trees to the Oakland Zoo for their elephants.”
Working with only the service providers they know and trust is key to this process. “In this business, what it comes down to is your reputation. You have to make it a good one.”
Heidi has already developed a reputation as being an agent her clients can trust to maintain their utmost confidentiality. “I’ve worked with a number of celebrities and sports figures, and privacy is always a big concern” she says. “A lot of my business comes from referrals for that very reason. It’s so important that my clients know I will keep their information confidential.”
While luxury properties account for a good deal of Marchesotti’s business, she doesn’t limit herself to specializing in only one segment of the market. “For everyone in our firm, it’s not about the price point, it’s about serving our clients,” Heidi says. “We have deep conversations with our clients to find out what they truly want and need, then work together to find them the right home, not just any home.” Asked to name her favorite aspect of the business, Heidi barely skips a beat before answering “Negotiating. I do love to negotiate, but it’s really the whole process that I find so rewarding and assisting clients and other agents. I truly enjoy helping others succeed.”
Marchesotti’s own success comes from a powerful combination of skills, knowledge, and above all, honesty. “Especially in today’s’ climate, I’m not going to sugarcoat the market reality.” Such refreshing candor is one of the many reasons Heidi’s client relationships turn into lifelong friendships.
Any down time in Marchesotti’s schedule is devoted to spending time with her family. Ten years ago Heidi’s husband, Rob was diagnosed with kidney failure. After extensive testing, Heidi proved to be a match and surgery was scheduled immediately. “It was an easy decision. He is my husband, my soul mate, and the father of my daughter. We are so lucky and so grateful that everything worked out so well.”
A self-professed “soccer mom,” she loves watching her accomplished daughter, Sophia, play soccer and admits to a bit of living vicariously.
The Bay Area is home to some of the world’s most renowned dining, of which Heidi and her husband love to take advantage. But when all is said and done, Marchesotti says “The three of us curling up together to watch a movie beats everything else hands down.”
