How did Amy Jensen become one of the most beloved and knowledgeable agents in Encinitas and South Carlsbad?

A born entrepreneur, Amy sold her three yogurt shops when she was pregnant. “I thought I would enjoy being a stay at home Mom, but then I quickly realized I love to work,” she says with her characteristic smile. She’d bought and sold several homes over the years and often helped friends with real estate transactions, so she decided to obtain her license. In 2004, she launched her real estate career. She now works closely with a team of two other agents, and serves the Encinitas/South Carlsbad area, specializing in the Encinitas-Union School District.

An impressive 90% of Amy’s clients come from repeat and referral customers. What keeps her clients coming back and eager to refer Amy to friends and family? “I’m very personable and I provide excellent service. I love introducing families to the area and the schools.” Amy specializes in a small geographic area and is an absolute expert on the neighborhoods she serves. She can talk to clients about teachers at local schools, help them apply for an intra district transfer, and refer them to trusted vendors. “I’m very involved, in not only the house they buy, but in helping them to get situated in the community,” she says.

Amy’s fast-paced working manner means that her clients see homes first, often before they hit the open market because her vast network allows her to bring off-market properties and pocket listings to her buyers, guiding them every step of the way as she shares her knowledge of the market and choice neighborhoods. When it comes to marketing listings, she starts with high quality professional photographs, videos and a pre-marketing “Coming Soon” campaign to create buzz about the listing. She then meets with top agents in the area to see if they have any interested buyers. Once the listing goes live, she posts it on all the major real estate websites, and hosts well attended broker opens and open houses. Amy knows how to maximize the value of the sale by utilizing her arsenal of marketing strategies. She has set record high sales in several neighborhoods in the area. “I feel what sets me apart from other agents is that I attend every single showing. A potential buyer may see five homes in a day, but I have a vested interested in having that buyer know the ins-and-outs of the home I’m sharing with them,” she explains. Her personal approach is superb and gives her clients peace of mind in knowing that they are working with an exceptional, experienced agent who truly cares for them. Whether a client is looking to purchase or sell property, Amy’s goal is to guide them to the property of their dreams or maximize the value they obtain through selling. Amy is a Realtor who is attentive, responsive and understanding of her clients’ needs, because she wants them to be secure in what is likely one of the largest purchases in their lives. The average price of her listings is $1.3 million with an average of fifteen days-on-market. Amy usually completes 25 to 30 transactions a year.

What’s Amy’s favorite part of her job? “My passion is finding buyers homes that they will enjoy for years to come. I love interacting with the families, helping get their kids in the right school district, and sharing with them the large network of people I recommend for repairs and remodels.” To give back to the community, Amy supports nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity, Wounded Warriors and Challenged Athletes. During the holidays, Amy works with a charity called “Solutions for Change.” She provides holiday gifts, a tree, and decorations for families who can’t afford presents for their children. Though she generally works seven days a week, she enjoys traveling abroad once a year with her family! For the future, she’d love to expand her team. “I want to teach others in real estate how to be successful,” she says.` With her dedication and expertise, she’s sure to make that dream a reality.

In 2017, Amy was awarded Top Realtor at HomeSmart Realty West and was honored Realtor of the Year.  She is in the top ¼ of 1% of all Realtors in San Diego and continues to be a Top Producer year after year.
