How did Michelle Metcalf become one of the most trusted real estate agents in Green Valley/Sahuarita?

Michelle has been involved in the real estate industry her entire adult life. In the 1990s, she started out doing mortgage loans for buyers. Later, she became an escrow officer at First American Title, where she worked for eight years. Seven years ago, she decided to become a real estate agent. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” she said. “I’ve found a niche where I can help people and it’s very rewarding and fun.” Michelle has earned the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation, which is award to less than 1% of realtors today. She’s also a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), as well as a broker. Michelle serves Green Valley and Sahuarita. She has lived in the area for eighteen years and is passionate about serving its residents.

An impressive 70% of her business comes from repeat and referral business. What keeps her clients coming back and eager to refer Michelle to their friends and family? “My clients come back to me for the service I provide them. I don’t look at my work as ‘sales.’ I look at it as helping people and providing a service,” she said. Michelle goes above and beyond for every client, helping to connect them with vendors such as painters and housecleaners as they prepare their home for sale. Clients rave that Michelle is always available, alleviates stress, and manages the entire transaction from start to finish. She’s organized and has a fantastic work ethic. “As their transaction manager, I facilitate everything to make sure it goes smoothly for them and they don’t need to worry about making appointments with various vendors because I’ll do it for them,” she explains. To stay in touch with past clients, she sends an annual postcard reminding clients to check in with her for a review of the current market value of their home. She recently hosted a lively client appreciation party with over 100 attendees.

When it comes time to market listings, Michelle’s talents really shine. She purchases ads in the local paper, as well as a half page ad in a local magazine that’s distributed to nearby neighborhoods. She mails out postcards to neighbors, hosts well attended open houses, and conducts a thorough campaign on social media. The result is often a quick sale at a very competitive price. After working with Michelle, her clients think of her as dependable, trustworthy, and as a knowledgeable resource.

What’s her favorite part of the job? “I enjoy meeting new people and developing a relationship. I love knowing I can make a first-time homebuyer’s dream come true and be part of that process!” To give back to the community, Michelle has been the director for the Board of Realtors, and has facilitated food bank and toy drives, and hosted shredding events. She often helps elderly clients host estate sales or give their furnishings to nonprofits like The White Elephant, a thrift store run by senior volunteers who raise scholarship funds for local kids in the Sahuarita Unified School District. In her cherished free time, she enjoys traveling to Colorado to visit her son. For the future, Michelle is committed to learning more each year so that she can best serve her clients and help her business to grow. “If you enjoy what you do, it shows!” she says.
