TOP MORTGAGE LENDER IN OHIO CHRISTIAN FOOTE
Buying a new home can be daunting, especially the first time. Christian Foote is there to offer insight and ease the experience. A lender with Movement Mortgage in the Cleveland area, he leads his marketing with education for first time buyers. “Obviously, they have a lot of questions and they need a lot of help,” he says. “We try to help them position themselves and their family to purchase a home in a way that is going to financially make sense not only today, but five, 10, 15 years down the line.” The lender’s confident, competent guidance can demystify the process. “We want them to go through a process of purchasing a home that I would want to go through.”
Christian brings to home finance insight gained through his previous experience as a financial advisor. After seeing so many cases in which budgeting plans teetered on mortgage payments, real estate was a natural leap. “One thing that I noticed was that the mortgage payment is something that can make or break a financial plan, given that it’s the largest payment that typically any family makes,” he says. “I went to work for a bank and I found that I really liked lending and it was a major part of people’s financial planning. That’s what got me involved in mortgages, and I’ve stayed on that side of the financial landscape ever since.”
Christian draws nearly 40 percent in referral or repeat business. Most of his leads, however, are generated internally. The lender built the marketing system from the ground up, and he extends his education outreach through social media where he earns five stars across various sites. He offers insights poignant to both sides of the deal–buyer and agent. Referrals work both ways. Christian aims to leave buyers with wisdom to save money over the life of their mortgage and agents with lending awareness to earn more referrals.
Outside the office, Christian takes interest in activities and causes for sheltered pets, although the pandemic has slowed some gathering. Outdoors, he enjoys mountain biking. To satisfy his artistic side, Christian plays guitar and makes animated videos.
Already operating in two Ohio locations, Christian plans to expand into Indiana and Kentucky. The object is growth, he says, but more than that to create the opportunity to help more home buyers. “I know that is such a cliche in our industry,” he says, but, “that’s really it. We just want to help more realtors grow their business. We want to help more clients purchase homes the right way so that they’re financially secure in the purchase and they don’t end up having buyer’s remorse after they move in.” Above all, the lender wants to make buying a home an informative, stress-free experience. “Purchasing a home is stressful enough. They don’t really need to worry about the financing part of it. That’s our job.”
